Internet Explorer 7 vs. Firefox 2.0: Security

Firefox 2 officially released

Extension makers are still catching up, and we assume Moz will wait to push the update down to 1.5 clients for awhile to stagger bandwidth hits. But if you’re looking for built-in spell-check (huge win for bloggers), better security, suggest-as-you-type search and a revamped, slick-looking chrome, go ahead and grab it now.

Mozilla offered up FireFox 2.0 Release Candidate 3 tonight, bringing the official launch of version 2.0 all the closer. Firfox Digs Deeper

Firefox burst onto the scene in 2004, taking full advantage of Microsoft’s lapses in Internet security and innovation. Its grassroots Spread Firfox marketing campaign was impressive, with fans donating money for full-page ads in major newspapers to spread the word. It has also been interesting to note that Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) has often supported Firfox efforts, giving it prime real estate on its site and in some of its products.
